Kind words from previous guests.

Lovely time!

All expectations met. Rowena kept us updated about the place and other attractions. The place was clean. We loved the clean linen. The towels were clean and fresh. We will definitely re-book in the future. Thanks again.

Great place by the sea!

Excellent accommodation, neat, clean and modern. Fantastic location right on the cliffs with an easy walk down onto a beautiful beach. Isle of Wight is a great place to visit with something for everyone.

Fantastic accommodation.

What a lovely time we have just had in the Isle of Wight! We stayed at the most beautiful chalet which was decorated in a gorgeous beach style. ❤️ It was well equipped and had everything we needed! It was so comfortable and as my husband is disabled this was very important to us. The chalet is located in an ideal place and was easy to access everywhere.

We loved it!

Stay for New Year!

Lovely clean chalet to explore the area and spend New Year with friends. Owner couldn’t have been more helpful!

Brilliant accommodation, perfectly located for Sandown beaches!

Like a brand new chalet – modern kitchen with all mod cons; and comfortable beds with no expense spared on linen and towels etc. The whole chalet is tastefully decorated in ocean blue and white colours with constant reminders of sun, sea, and beach holidays.

We booked the holiday for October so we could take our three-legged Sprocker, Deano, for coastal path walks on the cliff-tops and the nearby beaches. He had his best holiday ever! We enjoyed taking him to cafes and restaurants (there are several excellent places nearby) and to other parts of the island.

We are already recommending Wight Waves as the wonderful holiday place to all our friends.

Perfect family stay!

Brilliant stay at Wight Waves, perfect for me and my family ticked a lot of the boxes. Great distance from the ferry port 20 mins, close to the main area for a walk or arcade games on the Pier. Clean and tidy and very comfy double bed, my 5 year old daughter loved the bunk beds in the second room. Lovely area to sit out the front whilst young ones play, when the weather is nice. We will definitely be returning again this year. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Fantastic for families, clean & comfy.

I spent half term here with the kids. Absolutely lovely chalet- clean and comfortable with so much to do for the kids in walking distance, with the whole island accessible by car.

The kitchen is well equipped and I cooked often- even a roast dinner! The beds are very comfortable and the living area has a large sofa area an TV with a very compact table and chairs. Great outside space and the kids played football with other kids ok the site. The beautiful Yaverland beach is 5-10 mins walk from the chalet and it is in a fab location for coastal walks and lovely for early morning runs. The beach is also dog friendly and miles of sandy beach.

I would thoroughly recommend it- so much to do we only scratched the surface in a week so I have already re-booked for next year! Thanks Row and Carl…..a beautiful spot.

Perfect beach location!

The location of this chalet is fantastic, 5 minute walk down to the beach, of which most are pet friendly. Only a short walk into Sandown main centre with plenty to do. Isle of Wight is a beautiful family and pet friendly place and there is so much to do and visit on the island.
The chalet was beautifully decorated, nice and clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. Would recommend staying here and we are looking forward to going back again soon!

Lovely short break at Wight Waves!

Wight waves had everything we needed for a great 3 night stay on the IOW. The coastal theme decor is lovely & the owners have made sure there is everything in the chalet that you could possibly need. Yaverland beach is only a 5-8 minute walk away with a little cafe using the coastal path. As the weather was superb during our stay, we spent most of our time here, but if you haven’t been to the island before; go & explore, there’s loads to see & do! We love the IOW & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wight Waves.

“A perfect chalet which is clean, comfortable, well equipped, conveniently located and a pleasure to stay at.”

Wight Waves is a delight – superbly furnished and equipped to a very high standard, and well located with two cliff paths to the beach, and three minutes by car to the beach car park for families with loads of beach paraphernalia to carry, A lovely view across to Bembridge Down adds to its appeal.

Everywhere on the IOW is easy to reach by car, the bus services are good, and Sandown has a railway station.

Highly recommend Culver Down (less than 5 minutes away), the Botanic Garden at Ventnor, Osborne House and Mottistone Garden. For families there are so many safe beaches and other exciting places for children of all ages. All in all, a great location. Culver Down has loads of cliff paths, wild flowers, butterflies, birds and views across the Solent and of Sandown Bay.

Thorough;y recommend the Culver Haven Inn, great food and stunning views, and the specials at the Bandstand were excellent.

A beautifully decorated chalet!

A well equipped and beautifully decorated chalet. An ideal base to explore this beautiful island. Lovely beach nearby and a good restaurant within walking distance.

Arrive and just relax, chill out by the sea.

Lovely chalet, 5 star for cleanliness and decor is really nice. Everything you could wish for, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed with fresh linen, tv and WiFi is a bonus. The owner is very helpful, advising us about the ferry crossing, also plenty of literature regarding places to eat and local attractions. Beach is not far to walk to and is really nice, will definitely stay again in the future.

We spent 5 days at White Waves just after the bank holiday with my parents, 11 year old daughter and 2 larger breed dogs. The chalet (as you would expect) was cosy with those numbers but manageable. The pre holiday information was clear and informative. Communication with the owners was timely and clear.

The site itself is basic with no bar/pool/shop which for us was perfect as it meant quiet/calm and no drunkenness!! The other residents were friendly and were helpful with local knowledge.

The lovely sandy beach is about 10 minute walk from the chalet, apparently there is a cliff walk in the other direction but we ran out of days to explore as we were so busy having fun!!!

The chalet itself was well equipped, decorated to a lovely standard and as it runs on a £1 meter, cost about £5 for the stay. The cooker was a good standard and worked as you would expect (compared to some caravans etc)

The isle of wight is lovely and loads to do from blackgang chine (great for the children and is dog friendly) to Osborne house (great for all ages – dogs welcome in the grounds unless they are assistance dogs).

I would always recommend planning your stay once you arrive as we managed to see one of the best illuminated carnivals at Sandown, and ‘the big night out’ (foam party/disco/fireworks) at blackgang chine by making use of free return 7 day passes.

The spyglass pub at Ventnor is lovely with fabulous deck overlooking the beach/sea but cannot be pre booked for meals and parking was not great in peak time.

The military road (route recommended in the welcome pack at the chalet) is lovely to see both sides of the island.

Alum Bay is nice, parking £5 per day but has a beach which can be accessed by steep path or by a chairlift (dogs not allowed on lift), has the famous multi coloured sands which are nice gifts for the children to make up themselves.

If you are interested in sea based activities (sea kayaking; coasteering; stand up paddle boarding etc) i would recommend booking this at the start of the holiday as these get booked quickly (and require you to have sturdy footwear/beach shoes).

So, all in all so much to do, so much more to see, and not enough time to fit it all in (so I will definitely go again!!!)

‘Fantastic few days away with my Wife’

We love Sandown anyway. Also love Ventnor which is very close by car, scooter or bike. The chalet was very clean, had everything we needed and had immediate access to everything in and around the town including the beach. The Culver trail really is stunning and accessible from the site. The owners are good friends of ours and we’ve become to expect nothing less from them. Enjoy..

‘Beautiful Pet Friendly Chalet’ – Close to the Beach

Hubby & I & my little Jack Russell..Mabel have just returned from Isle of White 18/7/20 after a most enjoyable week on the island. Staying at White Waves was perfect, a short drive from the ferry port & perfectly situated to explore the island. We stayed in ‘White Sails’ chalet which was absolutely beautiful. Fresh, modern, beautifully decorated throughout & spotless equipped with all the amenities a family could wish for. A very quiet, peaceful & relaxing base….just what we needed & the opportunity to make new friends with our fellow chalet friends. We absolutely loved our stay in the Isle of Wight & will not hesitate to book with White Waves Holidays in the future. Thank you

‘Lovely 2 bed chalet close to Sandown’

1st time going self catering in years and thoroughly enjoyed our weeks break in this updated tastefully decorated chalet. Had everything we needed including towels and was spotlessly clean which in these times is even more important, in fact an inventory list of the cleaning was left on the dining table. We made a lot of use of the outside dining table for eating and just relaxing 20 minutes walk along the coastal path and your in Sandown right at the beach. The site is relatively small with no shop unfortunately but with Morrisons or Asda a ten minute drive away this isn’t a problem. Will come back again!

‘Perfect Chalet!’

We stayed at Wight Waves for 6 nights & we fell in love with the place. It really was what we were looking for and more, the most beautiful decor and all the home comforts you need. Beds were comfortable which is a bonus for My bad back. The rooms were a good size and had everything you could think off, even lots of hangers 😊 Fans were provided which we have never had before and the towels provided were plenty. Lots of Tea,Coffee and so on was there to start you off so hubby was very happy! The view from the chalet is spectacular and sitting outside with early morning coffee was what I needed. The kids played outside on the grass so peacefully, they loved it. The beach is a minutes drive or 5 min walk and Yaverland beach is a must, we spent our last afternoon/night there and it was truly wonderful and is a must! The trail walk from the chalet was much enjoyed (hubby) We had such a fantastic time there that my 12 year old has declared it was his fav holiday, he had so much fun! – happy mummy & daddy 😁 Without a shadow of doubt we will return here as the owners have two chalets together, which was perfect for us as my daughter and family stayed here too 🙂 Sandown beach/area is lovely, we did everything there ie: Mini/Crazy golf, dinasour Isle, kids adventure thing (can’t remember the name) go carts, park… The owner was very helpful with all my enquiries before we arrived which was good. Fingers crossed 🤞 we will be returning next year 😊
