Terms & Conditions

You agree to these terms and conditions by placing a booking with us.

Booking procedure

20% deposit of the total charge excluding the refundable security deposit and completed booking form are required within 5 working days to secure your booking. Until receipt of deposit your booking is deemed provisional and can be cancelled without prior notice. The balance plus £100 refundable security deposit  is payable 6 weeks before your arrival date. Non payment of the balance will be treated as a cancellation by you.

Carefully check the details of your booking before you make payment. If a mistake has been made, contact us to get it fixed before payment.

Cancellation – by you

In the event of cancellation, please telephone or write to us immediately so that every effort can be made to re-let the property.

If we re-let, you will receive a full refund of monies received less £30 (handling charge). If we are unable to re-let the property, you will be you will be held liable for the full amount of the booking and all monies will be forfeited.

You are strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Non-payment of the balance by the due date (6 weeks prior to arrival date) will be treated as cancellation; however, a reminder will be sent before interpreting this as a cancellation. In the event of non-balance payment (cancellation), we will follow the procedure above (after deposit paid, but before balance payment).

Cancellation – by us

In the unlikely event of cancellation by Wight Waves Holidays, prior to the start of your holiday Wight Waves Holidays will refund you in full. We’ll contact you as soon as possible practicable and inform you of the cancellation or the change to your Booking. We will also do also endeavor to find you alternative accommodation. We will not be liable to refund you any fees you may have paid to any third party in connection with your holiday (including, without limitation, fees for travel, entertainment, activities or insurance).

Arrival and departure times

Every endeavour is made to have the properties available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. In addition chalets must be vacated by 10:00 AM on your day of departure. Information about keys & other useful information will be provided at least 14 days before your arrival.

Cleaning and damage charges

We reserve the right to use the security deposit for any breakages, loss, or damage our properties have sustained. Accidental damage or breakage must always be reported. If the issue is minor no charge will be levied. We do reserve the right to retain your security deposit for “excessive” cleaning, missing or broken items, replacement of furniture, fixtures and fittings during your stay.

We will refund your damage deposit, less any deductions in the terms above, by your chosen method around 7 days after your departure. We ask that you take care and keep our property and its contents, furnishings, including items such as kitchen equipment, crockery and glasses clean, in good condition, with all personal effects and rubbish removed.

Additional guests

The number of guests occupying the accommodation must not exceed the maximum bed spaces per property. Wight Waves Holidays reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire property or request the party to leave the site, if the number of guests differs to that stated on the booking form. No monies will be reimbursed if you or any of the members of your party are requested to leave the accommodation.


Children must be supervised at all times both inside the chalets & in the surrounding grounds.

Wight Waves Holidays takes no responsibility for the loss or damage to any vehicles or its contents or any personal effects of the guests occupying the property. The use of the accommodation and surrounding area is entirely at the hirer’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the hirer’s companions/guests.


  1. Dog owners are fully responsible for the behaviour of their dogs and any damage caused.
  2. Only dogs booked and paid for are allowed on the site — there is an provision on your booking form where you can book your dogs.
  3. Dogs must be kept off all furniture including beds. (You will need to bring appropriate bedding/bowls.)
  4. Any fouling in the chalet must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and reported to the chalet owners.
  5. Under no circumstances must your dog/dogs be left unattended in our chalets.
  6. Dogs should be on a short lead at all times on site & outside the chalet.
  7. All fouling on the site is to be collected and disposed of by the dog owner. Bags should be disposed of properly, not left around the site.
  8. There are no dog walks on the site. The coastal path is just a few yards from your chalet, as is the green alongside the sailing club, and the beach.
  9. Please be careful near the cliff edge. It can be very dangerous.

Other important points

Every effort has been made to ensure that you have a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, if there should be cause for complaint – or accidental damage – this must be reported to the owner immediately, otherwise this matter cannot be fully investigated/resolved. It is too late to report it after or on the last day of your holiday.

The owner is not responsible for any interruption to services (electricity, water, television, or WiFi).

Completion of the booking form (online and paper form) functions as your agreement with these terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy relating to COVID-19

As a gesture of goodwill to our valued guests, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the following relaxed policy will apply to COVID-19 cancellations where the Government has put in place a lockdown or other restrictions, which specifically prevents UK citizens from travelling from your home and staying at your booked Wightwavesholidays chalet, or if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 and are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, have tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have to isolate because you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Please note we will require to see written proof of how COVID-19 prevents you from taking your booked holiday.

Under these circumstances, you can choose either to transfer your booking to another date, or we can refund in full all payments you have made for your holiday (deposit; balance; security deposit).
